Varshil Ajmera

Having been born into a family of creative individuals, Varshil had a camera in his hands from the moment he entered this world. Even at the tender age of 5, he managed to shoot an entire roll of Kodak film, oblivious to its significance. Varshil Tushar Ajmera’s creative journey officially began in 2010, when he discovered his deep passion for photography. Then, in 2014, he took a decisive step towards pursuing his artistic aspirations by enrolling at the esteemed “Shari Academy of Professional Photography.” It was at this prestigious institution that he began refining his skills behind the lens. Throughout his time at the academy, Varshil cultivated a discerning eye for capturing captivating visuals while delving into the intricacies of composition and lighting. His remarkable talent was acknowledged when he received the distinguished “Best Automobile Photography of the Year” award from The Shari Academy, a remarkable accomplishment at the time.

However, Varshil’s hunger for creative expression drove him to explore the realm of filmmaking. To gain practical experience and expand his knowledge, Varshil pursued an internship opportunity in Paris with an acclaimed film director. This invaluable experience in the heart of the cinematic world exposed him to the intricacies of storytelling, camera work, and the collaborative nature of filmmaking. Over the years, Varshil contributed his cinematography and photography skills to four feature films in India. He also directed four commercial short films for prominent companies in the city. Varshil’s dedication to his craft and unwavering commitment to excellence led him back to Paris, where he finished his first international music video as a director and DOP. Notably, he served as the lead cinematographer and DOP for a wildlife documentary on Netflix, which he shot for an entire year in one of India’s best tiger reserves.

Nevertheless, his hunger for the creative process and making films in Hollywood never waned. This motivated him to pursue a film-making course in Vancouver, Canada, which is recognised as one of the world’s best cities for the industry.
