Melissa Ariza

She was born in 2002, March 8th. She had the dream of becoming a veterinarian, has an immense love for animals because she was raised in a family with a lot of pets, where she learned pet nursing and training. She went to a catholic school were made some friends that later, in the year of 2017 dragged her to the film industry.

She participated in her first short film in a contest called “Encarrete isleño” where developed her passion for live acting. This film is called “Voces en mi interior” written by herself and directed by Valentina Otero. This film was the number one winner of the contest, and she was given an award for best script and was nominated as best actor, she was also the lead character. This win took her to participate in the next year’s contest in which she also won for best script and got second place. This film was called “Assassins” directed by Valentina Otero in 2018, year where she graduated from school. She then went to Canada, where studied English for eight months and then hospitality management for one year. Then in the year of 2021 she was called for participating as a lead role in a professional set, directed by Miguel Urrutia, she played “Sarah” from “Sarah’s suicides” a nudist-kind film. Then was called to participate in another professional film in which she played as background actor in 2022.

In 2023 she then flew to Canada again to explore her skills and develop a more professional knowledge about film industry, and she now studies at Langara College, in the Film arts course.
